Sherborne Lofts, Birmingham

Khoury Architects undertook a luxury renovation and remodel of a 3 storey penthouse in Birmingham’s 1930s Grade II listed Fellows Morton & Clayton Warehouse. The site is located along the James Brindley Canal and the design has maximised the impact of this feature with impressive views both inside and out.

Triple height spaces, cantilevered stairs and floating bridges are arranged beneath the exposed structure and curved roof plane of the original warehouse building. The interior architecture was extensive and involved remodelling the open plan kitchen/lounge, moving the staircase, replanning the upstairs bedroom and bathroom suite and modern interior design throughout.
