WINNER - LABC AWARDS!

Khoury Architects wins at the LABC Central Building Excellence Awards 2018!

Khoury Architects is delighted to have won Best Individual New Home at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards on Friday 25 May.  Redesdale, a contemporary new build house in the Greenbelt overlooking Abingdon in Oxfordshire, impressed the judges with its combination of technical excellence, construction quality, high performance and beautiful design.

The LABC Awards celebrate good practice among architects, contractors and engineers and reward the best in technical innovation, sustainability and design.
Local Authority Building Control (LABC) represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales. It consists of a network of professional surveyors who provide fast, impartial advice on a ‘not-for-profit’ basis to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient to meet the standards set by the building regulations.  The winners of the Building Excellence Awards demonstrate how positive working relationships with local council building control teams achieve high quality, sustainable buildings. And ultimately this cooperation improves building standards and professionalism across the entire industry.

As a regional winner, Khoury Architects will automatically qualify for the prestigious Grand Finals to be held on 9 November in London, where they will compete with the category winners of the all of the Building Control regions in the UK.

Heidi Alden, Company Secretary of Khoury Architects, said: “We are delighted with our win at LABC Awards as it recognises our ability to combine technical excellence with beautiful design.”
